Jeong Yu-jeong is a representative South Korean novelist who attracts attention from readers and critics with her intense narratives and meticulous plots that explore the dark side of human nature. She received literary awards for 〈Spring Camp of My Life〉 and 〈Shoot My Heart〉, and 〈Seven Years of Darkness〉, 〈28〉, and 〈The Origin of Species〉 have received great love both at home and abroad. In particular, 〈Seven Years of Darkness〉 and 〈Shoot My Heart〉 were made into films, and her work has been translated and published in 22 countries. Since 2021, she has been writing the ‘Desire Trilogy’, and in 2024, she published 〈Eternal Heaven〉 and topped the bestseller list.
